Veteran Peach Tree produces a round, good quality, medium to large, golden yellow fruit with slight red blush. Freestone when fully ripe. Yellow, firm flesh with coarse grain, easy to peel.
Excellent fresh, canned or frozen. Self-fruitful tree is a vigorous grower and, with correct training and pruning, bears early with consistent yields. Pale pink blooms that are late and help ensure that this variety provides even in late frost years.
Reliable producer in cold, wet weather. One of the cold hardiest varieties. Has stood up to our -25 F with no problem at our site, one of our favorite all around peaches along with Reliance.
