Medium to large fruit with transparent pale yellow skin (hence the name). It has crisp, very sweet, juicy, white flesh that has a light texture and dries easily.
Excellent for cooking, some say it makes the best sauce. Wonderful for pies and good for fresh eating.
If the summer is hot this apple is usually picked on the green side and used in cooking.
Upright, vigorous growing tree that bears young. Scab resistant and tends to bear heavily, thinning helps size up apples and prevents biennial bearing.
