Satsuma is a Japanese plum with medium to large, nearly round, dark red fruit with a small pit. Firm, meaty, juicy flesh, red to the pit. Sweet, lively flavor.
Excellent for fresh eating, cooking, canning or preserves. Upright tree is partially self-fertile. Pollinate for improved production. Best pollinators are Toka, Methley, American Plum and Shiro.
