Methley Plum Tree produces a medium to large, reddish purple fruit.
Juicy flesh with a sweet, mild distinctive flavor. Good for fresh eating or jelly. Makes a fabulous plum sauce!
Handsome, vigorous, upright tree that does well on most soils. Early blooming and a good pollinator for other Japanese type plums.
It produces heavy, annual crops with each crop requiring several pickings, making it a perfect homestead plum.
Self-fruitful.
Zones: 5-9
Tree will be 3′ – 6′ tall and grow up to 15′ at maturity.
