The Brown Snout Apple Tree is grown primarily for cider. It is a bittersweet apple that has high tannins and mild acidity.
Considered one of the BEST apples for cider as it is never bitter and has a nice warm flavor. But you will not want to eat this one off the tree, it’s best use is cider.
Heritage variety from mid 1700’s. Susceptible to fireblight.
