Patented name is Lydecker [P. besseyi x(P. salicina Oka x P. sal. Z’s Blue Giant)]
Prolific, cold-hardy tree that produces lovely 2″ black tinged plums that rival any from California. Red to purple flesh that can be clingstone to semi-clingstone. Get fresh plums, even in the coldest zones!
Note that if your zone is 3 and yet you do not get snow cover, the rootstock will struggle. Myro 29c does fine in zone 3 if you do have snow cover as it acts as an insulator for the ground.
Needs pollinator, American Plum (prunus americana), Toka or LaCrescent work well.
