Siberian Peashrub has small, 2″ long, edible, although not tasty, pea-like pods in summer for us in Maine. Chickens adore them and they make great addition to winter feed.
Grows as a shrub or small tree up to 20′ tall.
Beautiful, prolific, yellow flowers in May. Bees flock to this shrub.
Makes a great windbreak or hedge that also provides nitrogen to the soil.
