Raspberries

Raspberries start small, as a single bare root and grow into a lovely shrub that produces such a delectable fruit. They are perennial plants that spread by their roots with biennial stem. The raspberries we grow and sell are everbearing. They bear fruit the on the first stem that grows. To maintain the health of the plants, we advise cutting them to the ground each fall or early spring. Raspberries will appear between the end of July and the end of August, depending on both your growing zone and the warmth of the summer. The best raspberry rows are started with roots installed, with good compost and mulch approximately 2 feet apart.
