The Lodi Apple Tree is an extra early, large, green cooking apple which is larger, firmer, and keeps longer than Yellow Transparent. Excellent summer apple with crisp, juicy, mildly subacid, white flesh that contains a sweet/tart flavor.
Excellent for cooking, makes great pies and sauce when fully ripened.
Resistant to apple scab. Does best with a second apple for pollination, especially if you live in an area without a lot of wild apple trees. It is a dependable, productive tree for summer apples.
