Heirloom Largest of all hybrid plums. Yellow skin washed with dark red. Small pit, juicy, deep yellow clingstone flesh. Good quality. Fine for fresh use and processing. Highly fertile tree bears at an early age, some of ours started in the second year after being grafted. Heavy, annual producer. Pollinate with Toka. One of the best for severe winter areas. Developed by Dr. N.E. Hansen at the South Dakota Experiment station and introduced in 1913.
Zones: Hardy to Zone 3-8
Ripens: Late August to early September.
